A Brick Police officer is doing okay after a vehicle driving along Route 35 Wednesday morning landed on top of his parked patrol car.

Officer Jay Halley was conducting radar enforcement on Route 35 South at Bayside Park around 9:08 am when a vehicle veered off road, struck a curb, then a utility pole, a pedestrian cross walk sign and a wood fence before overturning and stopping on top of the patrol car.

Halley tried backing up to avoid the oncoming car but wasn't able to do so.

There were only minor injuries reported from the accident.
