Tropical Storm Jose will have some impact on Jersey Shore weather this week and here's what you should know.

There is a Tropical Storm Watch issued for the entire Jersey Shore.

There is a high risk of rip currents and rough surf for today and for many days ahead.

Here's Dan Zarrow's Forecast for Jose's impact on our weather: We'll start with see rain tonight, but tomorrow (Tuesday) is when most of the effects will occur for us, and when the storm will be 150 miles east of New Jersey.

Storm surge of 1 to 3 feet and rough surf are likely, which could result in minor to moderate flooding of tidal waterways.

Sustained winds of 20 mph to 30 mph are expected.

Wind gusts of over 50 mph are possible during this storm.

Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible, especially along the coast.

Dan says the rain and wind will calm down on Wednesday. We have all been watching the results of Irma and Harvey and most of us have been through Sandy ourselves. So we'd love nothing more than to have no contact with any of these storms, but even in a situation like this , we want to stay prepared.
