Uber passengers get a pickup area at MetLife Stadium

EAST RUTHERFORD — Visitors to MetLife Stadium now have an area for them to find their Uber drivers when it's time to go home.

Starting with Sunday's Summer Jam concert, riders will be picked up in the Uber Zone located in Lot E off West Peripheral Road. The ride sharing company is the stadium's official ride sharing partner.

Once a ride is ordered, the customer will be told via their app that the UberZone is the only place where they can be picked up. Drivers will park in a lot and will text their parking space number.

"We’re excited to partner with Uber to provide another convenient transportation option for our guests attending events at MetLife Stadium,” MetLife Stadium President and CEO Ron VanDeVeen said. The Uber Zone will be used for all events, including Giants and Jets games.

The PNC Bank Arts Center and Six Flags Great Adventure also allow customers to be dropped off close to the entrances.
