TINTON FALLS — Two motorcyclists headed to a Veterans Day ceremony were injured in a crash Friday morning on the Garden State Parkway.

A 71-year-old man was ejected from his 2004 Harley Davidson when he collided on the local lanes of the northbound Parkway near Exit 109  around 10:30 a.m. with a  2012 Yamaha driven by a 47-year-old man. They were headed to the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the PNC Bank Arts Center for a Veterans Day ceremony, according to Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams of the State Police.

The 71-year-old man remains in stable condition while the other man remained in critical condition both at Jersey Shoe University Medical Center in Neptune, according to Williams.

The accident caused one lane to remain closed for repairs between Exit 105 for Route 18 and Exit 109.
