Just some random thoughts today which by the way is two months from Christmas Day. Just saying.

The World Series without the Yankees is frankly boring.  A Yankees-Dodgers matchup would have kept me up at night while last night I feel asleep early and really did not care that LA beat Houston 3-1 in the series opener.

It seems everyone is asking me about Todd Frazier and his future plans which of course are very much up in the air as for the first time he will become a free agent.  The way it works is after the World Series is over the Yankees will have a window of less than a week to negotiate with Frazier and his agent, that is if they plan on offering him a contract.

Once that period ends if the two sides have not agreed on a deal than Frazier, who turns 32 in February, can negotiate with any team.  There is no doubt Todd enjoyed his brief tenure with the Yankees and all things being equal he would probably like to stay with them but it does appear there will be better options for him.

The semifinals of the Shore Conference Girls Soccer Tournament were postponed last night and rescheduled for tonight at Ocean Township High School.  Toms River North faces Wall in the 5 p.m. opener followed by Jackson Memorial taking on Freehold Township.

The winners meet Thursday night in a girls/boys championship doubleheader at Ocean.

Brick Memorial, Central Regional, Jackson Liberty, Point Boro and Raritan are the five finalists in the Shore Sports Network’s online poll to find which school puts on the most entertaining halftime show at a home football game.

After more than 4,000 votes were cast last week to determine the five finalists, there is another round of voting this week on shoresportsnetwork.com.  The winner gets a plaque from Ocean Trophies in Lanoka Harbor and most importantly…bragging rights.
