Two-hit Wonder DOBIE GRAY Born this Day 1940

The only other Dobie I recall had his own TV sitcom - "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis." The other Dobie, DOBIE GRAY, had hit records. The biggest hits by Dobie Gray came many years apart. There was "The In Crowd" in the 60s, and "Drift Away" in the 70s. Just before his passing, Gray contributed vocals to the Uncle Kracker remake of "Drift Away" a few years back.
