A two car collision between Route 571 and Beacon Street in Manchester Township Friday morning around 7:57 am sends both drivers to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a blue 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading east on Beacon Street and had stopped at a posted stop sign.

The driver, 19-year old Alex Luft of Manchester, then tried turning left onto Route 571 when he was hit by a blue 2014 Nissan Rogue driven by 32-year old Danielle Rosiejka of Jackson.

The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to roll onto its passenger side and then onto the driver side where it came to a stop facing east with the airbags deployed.

Police say Luft was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

He suffered head and neck pain and was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River.

The Nissan deployed multiple air bags in the collision and sustained heavy front end damage.

Rosiejka was wearing her seatbelt and suffered a complaint of head and chest pain.

She was also transported by ground ambulance to Community Medical Center.

The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Jesse Tate of the Manchester Police Patrol Bureau.
