MONMOUTH BEACH — Police expect to know more about the bodies that were found in the water of a Jersey Shore marina on Friday.

The body of a male was pulled from the dock at the Channel Club Marina around 12:30 p.m., according to Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charles Webster. A woman's body was then found shortly after the investigation to the initial discovery was getting underway.

Webster said there is "no cause for alarm" in the area of the marina and said the cause of death would be determined by an autopsy scheduled for Saturday at the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office.

NBC 4 New York cited law enforcement sources who claimed that the man fell into the water as he was boarding a boat and the woman fell in as she tried to help him.
