TV’s BOB KEESHAN (Captain Kangaroo) Born this Day in 1927

A hero and a morning staple for me, Bob O'Brien was Captain Kangaroo played by Bob Keeshan. It aired every weekday morning on CBS, and I watched part of the show every morning before going to school. The Treasure House was a warm and loving place, full of fun characters such as Mr. Green Jeans, Bunny Rabbit, Mister Moose, Magic Drawing Board, and Grandfather Clock. Ah, memories.
