OCEAN (MONMOUTH) - It won’t be just any old town hall meeting in Monmouth’s Ocean Township today. Governor Chris Christie will be in attendance at the Community Gym on West Park Ave. Doors open at 2pm. Seating is first come first serve and open to the public. The meeting starts at 3.

ASBURY PARK - An Asbury Park man faces attempted murder and weapons charges after he allegedly shot an 11 year old girl last month. The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says 23-year-old Tyree Kirkpatrick opened fire on the Monroe Avenue home. The girl was hit in the face. She remains in stable condition At Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Kirkpatrick could get 20 years in prison if convicted.

TOMS RIVER – Toms River Police are looking for several suspects involved in the theft of five heavy cast iron drainage plates and a manhole cover over the weekend. Police say the 100-pound items were stolen from a construction site on Route 70. The items are valued at over $1500.

TOMS RIVER – Thieves use outdoor decor to shatter glass doors of two Toms River homes over the weekend. Suspects used a boat anchor to enter the rear door of a home on North Bay Avenue, ransacking bedrooms of jewelry and framed sport memorabilia. Sunday morning, a suspect used a stone to smash a rear door on Vincenzo Drive but was scared off by an alarm.

TOMS RIVER - If you’re heading out to one of the Ocean County Library’s 22 branches tomorrow, you may not be able to use all of the online services. Staffers will be updating their computer systems all day. You will still be able to check out materials and get help from a librarian.

LAKEWOOD - Call it crowd control. Beginning this year, the number of Lakewood BlueClaws fans allowed inside First Energy Park during a game will not exceed 8000 people. General Manager Geoff Brown says it will help make the fan experience better. Tickets go on sale March 17th.
