Truck overturns in deadly Route 195 crash

JACKSON — An overturned truck on Route 195 near Six Flags Great Adventure killed one person on Saturday.

State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn said the overturned vehicle was on the westbound side near Exit 16 for the theme park. The accident happened before 11 a.m.

Flynn said the incident was under investigation and did not know the circumstances of the crash or the identity of the person killed.

It's the second fatal crash in that area of the highway in the past month. A Neptune man was killed Aug. 30 when his motorcycle broke down on the eastbound side near the same exit.
