Truck driver unharmed after striking electrical wires in Stafford Thursday
The driver of freightliner semi-trailer truck was unharmed on Thursday in Stafford Township after striking electrical wires on Route 539 near the Barnegat border which forced a utility pole to uproot itself and fall on top of the trucks cargo box.
Police say Alan Lunn, 46, of Whiting misjudged the height of the wires as he entered the roadway coming from a delivery.
Traffic on Route 539 was shut down until Atlantic City Electric was able to clear the road of loose wires and the broken utility pole.
No summonses have been issued for Lunn.
