Jackson Township Police say 25-year old Katie Meo cut through a fence at Crack of Dawn Farm on Grawtown Road in the overnight hours on June 8 and stole the horse that had been involved in a settled court dispute.

While investigating who stole the horse they found out another horse had been taken from another property in Howell Township.

As a result of their probe into the horse thefts, they found Meo had contracted and paid someone to shelter the horses at a stable in Pennsylvania.

Meo is being charged with burglary and theft (third degree), criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

Police then learned Meo was currently lodged in the Camden County Jail and they sent a detainee there for charges she faces in Jackson Township.

The public is reminded that anyone arrested or charged with any offenses or crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
