Toddler drowns in South Jersey home swimming pool, police say
GALLOWAY — A missing toddler was found drowned in a home swimming pool on Sunday.
Galloway Police, on their Facebook page, wrote they made the grim discovery during their search for the 2-year-old in the Pitney Road area of Galloway Township around 8:30 a.m.
The child was pronounced dead at AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center.
Police did not disclose if the pool had a gate or fence around it and said they continue to investigate the incident.
The drowning is the third in South Jersey in the past week. A 6-year-old Philadelphia girl drowned in the pool of a Wildwood hotel last Saturday and a 4-year-old died several days after being rescued from a private lake in Dennis Township.
