While the Yankees, Mets, Phillies and BlueClaws were all rained out yesterday Toms River’s Todd Frazier had his best game of the season. The White Sox third baseman has been off to a slow start, partly due to a bout with the flu that saw him lose weight, strength and several games.

In Monday’s win over Kansas City Frazier doubled in a run and last night he doubled twice, drove in three runs and scored three as Chicago rolled to a 10-5 victory.  Todd boosted his batting average to .156 and hopefully he has turned the corner.  Meanwhile rumors of a possible Frazier to the Mets trade have circulated once again and while doubtful I would obviously love it as a Mets and a Frazier fan.

I have been reminded on Facebook that last year at this time I was on vacation in Fort Myers Beach and Key West. Boy does that bring back warm memories.  Speaking of the Keys the third and final season of “Bloodline” on Netflix will be released on May 26th.  The series about the Rayburn family is captivating and season two ended with many questions that need to be answered and will in the final ten episodes.

For those who have not watched you have time to catch seasons one and two, it's great binge watching.

RE/MAX at Barnegat Bay will host their 14th annual golf tournament to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.  The Bill Donnelly Memorial event is set for Friday, June 2nd at Ocean Acres in Manahawkin.  The RE/MAX organization is the official real estate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network and has raised more than $100 million nationwide since 1992.

On a local level associates from RE/MAX at Barnegat Bay raised $50,000 with last year’s golf outing which was tops among all fundraisers in the state…quite an accomplishment.  Broker/owner George Broome, Jr. expects another big turnout and for information about playing and sponsoring you can call the Forked River office at (609) 693-5002.

RE/MAX at Barnegat Bay is a longtime sponsor of the Hometown View and clearly their offices in Forked River, Toms River, Manahawkin and Ship Bottom have contributed much to the communities they serve.
