Three more sexual assault victims come forward against indicted Eatontown pediatric surgeon
The Eatontown pediatric surgeon indicted for inappropriate criminal sexual contact with a 17-year old girl now faces charges involving three more victims.
72-year old Dr. Saad Saad was charged Thursday with similar alleged behavior with victims between 14 and 17-years old, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office.
He could spend decades in prison if convicted on the charges of Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child after more victims came forward following his 2-count indictment in July.
While he was facing charges for the inappropriate contact with the 17-year old, prosecutors expanded their investigation looking for any other victims.
At the time, he was indicted on charges for one count each of second degree Endangering the Welfare of Child and fourth degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
With three more victims coming forward, Dr. Saad now faces three new counts of fourth degree Criminal Sexual Contact and second degree Endangering the Welfare of Child.
If he's convicted of Endangering the Welfare of Child, Saad faces a sentence on each count of five to ten years in a New Jersey state prison.
If convicted of Criminal Sexual Contact, he faces up to 18 months in state prison on each count.
Investigators continue probing for information about Dr. Saad's activities with concern over the potential for even more victims.
Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-533-7443 and speak with MCPO Detective Sgt. Michael Magliozzo or Detective Jason Cardamoni of the Eatontown Police Department at 732-389-7629.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the Eatontown Police Department and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO), Special Victim's Bureau.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
