Could you imagine dining at a restaurant that was around before the United States was even a nation? It's hard to believe, but it's true, and this historic place is located in Mendham in Morris County.

According to purewow.com, the oldest restaurant in New Jersey is The Black Horse Tavern & Pub, which was originally a stage coach house, was first opened for business in 1742!

If you do the math on that, this establishment has been around for about 275 years! That is absolutely amazing. By way of comparison, Red Bank's awesome Molly Pitcher Inn has been in business for 90 years.
