You knew we weren't going to have a snow free winter, and this weekend may bring some winter weather to the Jersey Shore.

So, exactly what are we talking about for this weekend. Well, if you spend enough time on social media, you'll hear a dozen different stories, so let's lay out what our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says should happen over the next few days.

Thursday night into Friday morning. It looks like all rain for the coast, and just a slushy inch for inland Monmouth & Ocean Counties, but the Friday morning commute could be a slippery one just about anywhere in the area.

Saturday night into Sunday. We are expecting a winrty mix late in the day, turning to rain in the overnight hours.

Sunday. Some heavy rain and freezing rain in the morning. In the afternoon, the temperatures drop and it turns to light snow, with the possibility of anywhere from no accumulations to 4 inches before all is said and done.

Icing. Because of the temperature fluctuations, there is a significant chance of icing that we'll have to deal with for this storm.

There is a lot to take in with this weather event, so Dan Zarrow  will be watching closely, and you can stay up to date with the very latest by following his weather blog.
