Every dog has its day and they could soon be able to have one such day with some of our military heroes living in State run Veterans homes and facilities, thanks to legislation being sponsored by New Jersey State Senator Anthony Bucco.
We love our dogs and we love to go out with our dogs, well we don’t because our dog Dexter hates any other dog he see’s lol so we don’t take him around other dogs, but for those of you who do.....this is a fantastic opportunity to get out this spring and summer. Get out to Asbury Park for a cold one and a cold bowl of water for your doggy.
There is not much that will spark panic in a Mom more than spotting a tick. Do they not send shivers up your spine? They are gross, unsuspecting and can make us really sick. It's the first day of tick season by the way...April to mid-to-late October is when they are in full swing. Experts are predicting that the tic population in New Jersey to be off the charts this year. Well super.
This week it's National Puppy Week and of course, we all love our dogs, so it was easy to ask folks to send in photos of their fur babies. Now I will admit it looks like the term "puppy" is being stretched here a bit, but ya know what they will always be our puppies....right?
There was nobody inside a Middletown home in flames as Firefighters arrived but they did rescue 28 pets and brought them to safety as an inferno spread through the residence.
The "last great race" began this week in Alaska, the Iditarod dog sled race. The race is much h different this year because of the CVID 19 Pandemic. The race began in a more isolated area as opposed to busy downtown Anchorage and the race has been shortened. Spectators are allowed but are being advised to follow safety protocol. The Riders and dog teams are also being kept more at a distance this year to protect not only the participants but spectators as well.
If you could believe it, there are people out there who put two dogs in the trunk of a car, shut the hood, turn up the music until one kills the other.
