With all this humidity around, you knew there would be some storms before we got a break from it all, and today it looks like the stormy weather is here.

Our Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says today's weather will start out calm and humid but by this afternoon we should be on the lookout for a line of strong thunderstorms to come through the area. Here's what you need to know.

Timing. The storms should arrive sometime late this afternoon and be out of the area by midnight.

Biggest concerns. The storms could bring damaging winds to our area. There is also the potential for flooding and frequent cloud to ground lightning. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from noon until midnight today. There is also a moderate risk for rip currents.

Bright side. Once the storms go through the area, the weather behind it will be glorious, with low humidity and temperatures in the low 80's through the rest of the work week.
