LAKEWOOD — A New Jersey State Police dive team will help continue the search for a male who went missing late Friday afternoon while swimming at Lake Shenandoah County Park, authorities confirmed.

The search for the missing swimmer began around 5:40 p.m. Friday after police received a call from people in the park who heard splashing and then saw a man screaming before going underwater and not resurfacing, NJ Advance Media reported.

Boats and drivers searched the 48-acre lake but were unsuccessful in locating the man, according to the article. NJ State Police confirmed that they will continue the search Saturday with additional divers and equipment.

Police have not given any additional information on the victim.
