An economist joined a bank president and the head of a New Jersey construction company at the Camden campus meeting. The banker was David Hanrahan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vineland-based Capital Bank of New Jersey. The builder was Bruce paparone, President of Stratford Housing Construction.

Economist Joel Naroff talked about job creation picking up and the need for new grads to think of their so-called, “dream job” as a series of career moves from one firm to another. Rutgers-Camden School of Business Dean Jai Ganesh says we seem to be on track and we are definitely moving forward.

The banker in the room, David Hanrahan, said his industry is improving, though it still has problems. The builder, Bruce Paparone, said construction will improve moving forward.

Ganesh said, “We can see the light at the end of the economic tunnel. And that is the net takeoff from this meeting.”
