Sketch of Brick Township Kidnap Suspect Released

The probe of Friday's kidnapping attempt in Brick Township broadens with a composite sketch of the suspect being sought.

Anyone whose memory is jogged by the sketch should contact Brick Township Police at 732-262-1100/1115.

A woman who lives on Essex Drive in the township reached police form a Georgia Drive home around 10 AM on Jan.10, claiming that a Caucasian man in a white work van with tinted windows left the vehicle and forced her into it.

She told authorities that two men inside worked her over with a "piece of steel," hitting her in the torso several times and that the man who forced her into the van then pulled out a box cutter.

According to investigators, she managed to break out of the van as it rolled along Georgia Drive, where she enlisted someone in a house on the block to call police.
