He began his career with the Champs of "Tequila" fame, he worked on & off with the Beach Boys, and he enjoyed his own successful solo recording career. He was Glen Campbell, and sadly, with his much-publicized battle with Alzheimer's Disease, we all knew this day was coming. Campbell succumbed to the condition today at the age of 81. Along with a long string of hits in the 60s (many written by Jimmy Webb) such as "Galveston," "Wichita Lineman," "Gentle on My Mind," "It's Only Make Believe," "Dream Baby," "Country Boy," "Southern Nights" and "Rhinestone  Cowboy," Campbell also enjoyed several years of success on CBS TV with his popular Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. He was known for his high-pitched, "Hi, I'm Glen Campbell." A full episode of the series can be viewed by clicking below.
