So many people have been looking for ways to help as part of Restore the Shore and one way you can is by making every attempt to keep your money circulating in the local economy.

Nothing against great deals you may find elsewhere but spending $100 online with a big company does nothing to help us here at the shore.  However that same $100 in Ocean and Monmouth counties makes an impact, especially with a small business that is trying to navigate through challenging times like never seen before.

There are many shopping options around here even if it does require a bit more effort that just clicking on a website.  If you’re not sure what to get than a gift certificate provides cash for the local business whether it be a small boutique or local restaurant.  If you “Shop the Shore” than at the same time you will help “Restore the Shore” and it goes further than just the next few weeks leading up to Christmas.

The truth it we need to do as much local business as possible because it benefits more than just place where you’re spending your money.  It allows that business to keep people working and hopefully hire even more in the future and of course the more people working the more money spent in the local economy.

This goes for everything from where you buy a car or refrigerator to the company you use to fix your home.  Now more than ever local loyalty has to take precedence because saving businesses and jobs is more important than a few bucks.

So if you really want to help “Restore the Shore” then start now. ”Shop the Shore” and keep your dollars at home.  We need to do more than just talk the talk, we have to walk the walk together because that’s what will get us through all of this and make us stronger in the future.
