The forecast for the Jersey Shore over the next 18 to 24 hours could include some severe weather in our area.

There are several alerts being issued for our area by the National Weather Center, including a Small Craft Advisory (from noon until 2:00am), a Flash Flood Watch (from 4:00pm until 2:00am)  and a Local Pollen Alert according to weather.com, and all eyes are on a strong band of thunderstorms heading our way.

Our meteorologist Dan Zarrow says the line of storms will roll through our area from late this afternoon through this evening, and could include torrential rain, damaging winds, hail and even the possibility of a tornado.

Dan says the likely timeline for the storms to make their way through our area is between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, although less severe rain could continue through the night. And then Dan thinks tomorrow's high temperature will struggle to reach 60.

You should definitely stay up to date on the latest information regarding this forecast and Dan Zarrow will keep us updated all day long on the very latest with his comprehensive weather blog.
