Search for Lakewood Bank Holdup Suspect Intensifies

The suspect who made off with about $1,000 from a TD Bank branch in Lakewood Friday night continues to elude the grasp of law enforcement. Now, police hope that additional surveillance images might jar the memories of potential witnesses.

Police have not indicated whether the thief was armed or displayed a weapon. They do say that he wrote his demand for cash on a deposit slip, handed it to a teller who stuffed about $1,000 in an envelope, and escaped on foot.

He's described as thin, white, 30 to 35 years of age, with black hair, a receding hairline and bushy eyebrows. At the time he wore a black hoodie-type sweatshirt, white t-shirt and grey sweat pants.
