Donations bins will be set up at the north, south, east and west gates heading into high point solutions stadium collecting new or gently used clothing and shoes, according to the University's athletic website, scarletknights.com.

Rutgers athletic officials will then work with the University of Houston athletic Department to coordinate the distribution to communities in Texas.

"Our heart goes out to the countless individuals who have suffered loss as a result of Hurricane Harvey," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Hobbs in a statement on the website. "Everyone here in New Jersey understands full well the challenges those folks in Texas are dealing with. It is important that we come together to support the affected communities."

The game against Washington starts at 8 pm as the Scarlet Knights will look to start off the 2017 season on a high-note with hopes of getting to the postseason.
