Real Friends vs Facebook Friends

According to Facebook I have 428 friends, but what is the true definition of friends? If we are lucky we have 5 real friends in a lifetime.

To me the definition of a friend is someone who is there when I need them even if it's at 3 AM. Someone who is loyal and if I tell them something in confidence that's where it ends. Someone who will tell me what I need to hear not what I want to hear and someone that can just "pop" over and me not worry if my house is straightened up or not.

I'm lucky that I do have those friends and they know that I am that friend also.  What is your definition of a friend?
