A little of this and a little of that on the final Monday of June.

I hope this is not going to be a trend throughout the summer but we’ve had back-to-back rainy Saturdays which is not good for business or for those of us who like to spend our weekends on the beach.

If you like pizza then a visit to Seaside offers four of my favorite choices. All a bit different but all wonderful.  There’s the thin crust made famous at Klee’s Bar & Grill, the unique tomato swirl that can only be found on Maruca’s Tomato Pies, the many delicious varieties offered at Three Brothers From Italy and the mammoth slices offered at The Sawmill.  One of these days I’m going for the grand slam: a trip to all four on the same day.

A friend of mine used to say there are movies in which you need to check your intelligence at the door.  In other words, of course it’s not realistic but enjoy it for what it is: entertainment.  With that said I recommend San Andreas which lists Dwayne Johnson a/k/a “The Rock” as its star but he plays second fiddle to the special effects which are spectacular.  The latest in a long line of disaster movies is truly over the top and ludicrous at times but I bet you won’t fall asleep.
