Toms River police are hoping the public can help them track down a forgery suspect recently captured on surveillance footage. Authorities believe 47-year-old David Byrnes of Point Pleasant continues to be involved in criminal activity.

A $40,000 warrant is out for Byrnes arrest. Authorities believe he is in the Toms River or Brick area and said he frequents the Ocean County Mall and other local retail establishments. Police said Byrnes also has been seen at retail establishments in the Berkley Township section of Holiday City.

The suspect is accused of making fraudulent charges on a woman's credit card at multiple WaWa's, Stop and Shop, Shoprite, and the Raceway Gas Station in the Toms River and Brick areas. Byrnes also allegedly purchased eight Home Depot gift cards in the amount of $100 each, police said.
