Police Seek Ocean Twp Luring Suspect

Ocean Township have released a sketch of a man suspected of luring two boys to his van on August 21.

The man drove his white van into the area of West Park Avenue and Whalepond Road around 8:20 p.m. and asked them to come over to his van accordng to police in the Monmouth County community. The boys ran away and their parents called police.

The driver is described as a white male, approximately age 40 with a balding hairstyle, and small strands of hair on the side of his head. The man had a light beard described as “scruffy." The van had regular sized front driver and passenger windows and smaller tinted windows along the side of the van and some rust spots.

The van drove south on Whalepond Road after the boys ran away.
