UPDATE A missing Rider University student from Manalapan who had not been seen since Sunday has been found safe. New Jersey State Police tweeted out the news late Friday afternoon. Her name has been removed from this post

The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit has the search for an 18-year-old who was last seen when she was dropped off by her parents on the Lawrence Township university's campus on Sunday.

Lawrence Police tell the Times of Trenton that a search of the student's on-campus apartment shows no foul play but indications she may be headed to California. A bus schedule and evidence she was in contact with someone described as a friend was found; her laptop and some clothes are missing.

Her credit card records are also being checked.
