One-hit-wonder BUZZ CLIFFORD Dies at 75
His real name was Reese Clifford, but for his brief recording career he adopted the cooler nickname of BUZZ CLIFFORD and he scored one very memorable Top Ten novelty hit in 1960 called "Baby Sittin' Boogie." Bob O'Brien here, and this song has always held a very special place in my heart as it accurately describes me as a child. The radio and the phonograph were my favorite toys, too. Despite a long series of follow-up recordings, Clifford was never again able to reach the Top Ten. Sadly, last Friday Buzz succumbed to complications from the flu at the age of 75.
