TRENTON — A lingering wintry mix that may not turn over to rain until late caused some delayed openings in some districts on Thursday morning.

Meteorologist Dan Zarrow said areas in Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren counties may not after midnight creating some slick spots on the roads at the start of the morning commute.

Thursday will be mild with partly cloudy skies and breezy in the afternoon. Cooler air will return Friday so enjoy a few hours with pleasant temperatures in the 50s.
