Eight people from Berkeley Township and one from Manchester face marijuana-related charges in an ongoing quality-of-life probe by investigators of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office.

Armed with warrants, members of the county Special Operations Group and Berkeley Township police searched homes on Butler Boulevard and Holly Boulevard on Monday, July 2.

Investigators say they uncovered 14 bags of marijuana, a marijuana plant, digital scale, packaging materials, smoking devices and related items.

All were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, then released. The suspects are:

George Miller, 18; Kimberley Williams, 20; Richard Wahlers, 20; Raymond Barilo, 18; Eugene Fisher, 18; Stephen Josters, 20; Joseph Michnisky, 20; Amber Nichols, 20; and David Hogan, 31.

Hogan gave officers a home address on Ardsley Avenue in Whiting. Nichols submitted an address on Esplanade Way in Berkeley Township. The eight others told investigators that they live in the Butler Boulevard home that was searched.
