TV, movie star, and influential physical comedian JERRY LEWIS is 91 today. For many years, his Labor Day Telethon was my gauge that summer was about over and it was time to go back to school. He was born Joseph Levitch in Newark on March 16, 1926. I had the rare pleasure of interviewing him to promote his upcoming stage performance in the area. I was warned by many that Jerry has a reputation for being difficult, but I found that not to be true. He couldn't have been nicer, and it was one of the most memorable interviews I've ever conducted. I even got him to do his trademark "LAYYYYYDEEEEEEEEEEE." A piece of that interview can be heard below. Happy birthday, Jerry.
