If you travel on New Jersey Transit, you know there's some work going on at Penn Station and there's a chance you'll be delayed one of these days . Now you can bring an official note to your boss to explain everything.

That's right, New Jersey Transit is offering what they're calling a delay letter, according to northjersey.com. And there's no doubt it's official because it's even printed on New Jersey Transit letterhead.

They've apparently made this available even before the Penn Station work and recent potential delays. According to the article, they're available at kiosks and even the New Jersey Transit website.

New Jersey Transit does not offer explanation letters for missed birthdays or forgotten anniversaries, so guys, you're on your own with those!
