If you're a teacher, there's just about no better place to be than New Jersey, according to a recent report.

Each state in the nation was evaluated by wallethub.com to determine which one was the best for teachers, and according to their results only one state is better for teachers in America.

The only state that ranked higher than New Jersey was New York. Factors such as "opportunity and competition" (NJ was 18th) and "academic and work environment" (NJ was ranked #1) were considered in order to reach their results.

Other things were considered, like "best school systems" (the Garden State was #2), and "lowest pupil to teacher ratio" (New Jersey ranked 4th).

Other nearby states did well in the study, with Connecticut ranking 4th overall and Pennsylvania ranking 5th. You can check out the entire article at wallethub.com.
