Never Leave Pets Unattended in a Hot Car

It's been a hot summer so far and it's important to stay cool, but don't forget about those who can't always keep themselves cool.  It is important to remember that pets should not be left unattended in cars on hot days.  Just 15 minutes in a hot car could be very dangerous for your beloved pet.

Marianne and some other good Samaritans found these chihuahuas in a local parking lot.  They were visibly hot and uncomfortable while their owner was shopping inside a nearby store.  Luckily this situation was resolved before any tragedies occurred, but that is not always the case.  Please be aware of the weather when you decide to bring your pets on shopping trips with you.
