A shot from a pellet gun hits a woman in the face in Monmouth's Ocean Township. Police have narrowed their search for suspects to two, caught on video running from the area shortly after the July 3 incident. They hope that a tipster can help them close in on them.

Police said that the woman was seated in the back yard of her home on Mallard Lane at about 10:55 PM last Monday, when the pellet hit her.

A scan of the area yielded no suspects, but exterior video obtained Detective Steven Walker shows two people near the house, seen running from the area soon after the incident occurred.

Residents of Mallard Lane and surrounding streets who saw anyone shooting a pellet gun, or BB gun, are urged to speak to township police.
