Rock and Register event is scheduled for September 28.


Hawk TV, Monmouth University’s student-run television station, is hosting Rock and Register, an event to promote university students registering to vote, on Friday, September 28, 2-4:30PM on the patio in front of the Rebecca Stafford Student Center at Monmouth University, 400 Cedar Avenue, West Long Branch, NJ 07764.

The event will be live on WMCX 88.9 FM and recorded to air on Hawk TV, seen on campus Channel 12. Performers Amanda Duncan, Justin Angle, and Monmouth’s own first-year student Natalie Zeller are scheduled to perform acoustic acts. Monmouth County Clerk, M. Claire French will be interviewed live at the university. The event will also feature a debate on clean energy policy and panel discussions on hot topics and controversies surrounding the upcoming election. The event is co-sponsored by WMCX, the Political Science Club, and The Outlook.

Classic American refreshments, including hotdogs and apple pie, will be offered to event attendees. In addition Hawk TV will be collecting donations to benefit the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean County.

Hawk TV is a team of dedicated students working to create educational, entertaining, and informative television programming for the entire campus community. The organization encourages and promotes responsible and creative broadcasting. Hawk TV has been a part of the Monmouth University campus community since 1996.
