Tyrice L. Berry, 24, of Neptune City, was also found guilty of two second-degree counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and possession of a handgunwithout a permit, with possible 10-year sentences attached to each according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni's office.

Berry is scheduled to be sentenced on January 24 in Toms River, where the trial took place.

Two victims, aged 30 and 28, survived multiple wounds while sitting in a parked car outside the Cameo Bar, Main Street at Sunset Avenue, where police arrived after hearing gunfire at about 1:23 AM on October 19, 2012. Authorities did not disclose the victims' identities.

Evidence recovered in a forensic investigation linked Berry to the shootings.

Under terms of New Jersey's No Early Release Act, Berry is required to serve at least 85 percent of the sentence he's ordered to serve for attempted murder and assault, before parole consideration. The weapons charges, under the Graves Act, require Berry to serve at least half the sentence given for each, or 42 months, whichever is greater.

Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Diane Aifer presented the government's case. Berry was defended by Toms River attorney Melissa Barbier.
