A gunman allegedly shot and killed two bailiffs at the Barrien County Courthouse in western Michigan, according to reports. Details are scarce at this point, but the incident occurred Monday afternoon in the town of St. Joseph. The gunman has also been killed.

Apparently the shooter was headed off to jail, but grabbed a police deputy's gun as he was being led out. He fired and killed the two bailiffs and injured the deputy before other officers gunned him down.

Thus far, there has been no connection revealed to any of last week's police shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana, or the sniper attack that killed five officers in Dallas.
