The groups have pegged this Saturday as  National Day Of Solidarity At Oyster Creek – Freeze Our Fukushimas! It’s in response to a Federal District Judge’s ruling concerning the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power plant.

Environmentalist say the Judge ruled in favor of the corporation, Entergy, and struck down Vermont State Law, effectively stripping state legislators and citizens of the right to shut down the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Reactor.

They say this Saturday, March 24th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., communities across the country are standing together in solidarity with the people of Vermont.

The event is being hosted by the NJ Environment Federation. However Save Barnegat Bay and Grandmothers, Mothers & More for Energy Safety and Beyond Nuclear will also be participating.
