Domenic J. Pereira, 26, was apprehended without incident at the Mount Laurel store where he is employed, according to information from Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Lumberton PD Chief Anthony DiLoreto. He was charged April 21 with a third-degree count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators began monitoring Pereira in January 2017. Detectives assert that he uploaded an image of a nude, prepubescent girl, with the intent of e-mailing it.

A laptop seized during an April 21 warrant search of his dwelling contained more than 100 child pornography videos, authorities said.

Prosecutors intend to seek an indictment by a grand jury.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
