He was born around Mardi Gras time in 1928, and is still going strong. He's the living legend born in New Orleans as Antoine Domino, but better known to generations of fans as "Fats Domino." Mr. Domino turns 89 today. He scored his first hits on the R&B charts beginning in 1949 with "The Fat Man." He began crossing over onto the Pop charts in 1955 and enjoyed a long string of Top Ten singles including "I'm Walkin'," "Walkin' to New Orleans," "I Want to Walk You Home," "Whole Lotta Lovin'," "Be My Guest," "Ain't That a Shame," and most memorable of all - "Blueberry Hill." Thanks for all the wonderful music, Fats.
