Some people have told me the “gravy or sauce” debate is about whether your family is from Northern or Southern Italy. Others say it depends on whether your family is from Northern or Southern Jersey.

Still others think it has to do with whether or not meat is in the recipe. I’ll tell you this much. When I eat it, it’s macaroni and gravy. It’s red, and it’s delicious. I will admit though, that I have gotten into a habit of using pasta and sauce when I order at restaurants, because I don’t want any confusion. I want my macaroni and gravy, and I’ll say whatever it takes to get it. I read some interesting facts about the debate at eatitalian.com .

So, Jersey shore, let’s decide once and for all, which is it? Cast your vote and we’ll announce the results on the morning show. Thanks!
