61-year old Patricia O'Conner of Lakewood was hit by a car as she was walking her dog Wednesday afternoon across the street in the Renaissance Adult Community and was transported to the hospital for treatment of a leg injury.

O'Conner was heading along the Renaissance Adult Community in Manchester Township located between Courtney Lane and Renaissance Boulevard where she crossed the road around 3:30 pm.

As she was walking her dog a 2013 Nissan Rogue driven by Joseph Cillo,70, of Manchester who was unharmed from the accident.

O'Conner's black lab wasn't hit during the accident and was also unharmed.

The accident remains under investigation by Manchester Township Police and no charges are currently pending.
