Lakewood man arrested on multiple sexual assault charges

A Lakewood man was arrested and charged with multiple sexual assault charges after an investigation that began in mid-October.

The investigation into fifty-year-old Cirino "Flocka" Dominguez Salazar began after a girl reported to authorities that he sexually assaulted her when she was nine. Unfortunately during the investigation, police identified a second victim who was abused during the same time frame.

Salazar is charged with aggravated sexual assault, attempted aggravated sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, attempted criminal sexual contact and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held in the Ocean County jail pending a detention hearing.

New Jersey state Police, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit assisted the Lakewood Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Senior Assistant Prosecutor Mara Brater is posecuting the case.

Charges are accusations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
